Your position is not the only one; it depends on how you define theism.

For some this is the belief in a personal creator God. Any tradition which denies this could therefore be described as non-theist. These would arguably include Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Kabbalism, Gnosticism, esoteric traditions like Theosophy, and perhaps others. It would be stretching a point to call these atheistic.

Atheism can be seen as closer to physicalism, the denial of anything supernatural or transcendental. That appears to be what you are saying.

I don't feel compelled to accept what atheists come up with as common definitions.
