Your argument is basically sound, but somewhat simplistic. It is not simply a question of evolution v. creationism. There are various shades of opinion within evolution, so this shouldn't be used as a catch-all term. People will assume that by 'evolution' you mean Darwinian evolution, or even the neo-Darwinian synthesis. Like many writers in this field, you use the word evolution freely without defining what you mean by it.
