You make good points. I think you outline the Christian worldview correctly. I don't, however, subscribe to the conventional Christian viewpoint, i.e. that the soul is born with the body. I believe that the soul pre-exists. Who I am ultimately is the soul. And the soul finds meaning in something transcendental beyond itself.
