We don't have to hear you out. Your title is self-evidently true.
I'm a bit older than you, so I'm not sure how far back what you like goes. In Britain in the 1960s there was an explosion of fantastic pop music: Beatles, Rolling Stones, Cream, Yardbirds, Kinks, Free and so on. In the US there was Tamla Motown, the black soul artists, Byrds, Lovin' Spoonful, Buffalo Springfield, CSN and so on. Then came Bowie, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac (the Nicks/Buckingham incarnation).
Who is writing music like that nowadays?
