There's a lot of interesting stuff in this approach to biblical scholarship. However, these scholars often have a very rational approach, and take the texts very literally. They would probably benefit from a more esoteric approach and a symbolic or allegorical understanding. The two Genesis accounts might be seen as complementary rather than contradictory.
