There is no real contradiction. Reality is both unchanging and in constant flux. Hinduism calls the unchanging infinite Brahman, but recognises that it is also the ultimate source of the constantly changing universe of Heraclitus, a breathing out. Other spiritual traditions have the same idea with different names.

This idea is best expressed by the philosophy of panentheism, in which God is both transcendent and immanent.
