That is the point of view of modern scholarship, as I pointed out much earlier in the series.

However, Moses wrote what he wanted to write, and this is an esoteric text where levels of meaning may be concealed. Having said that, we are here dealing with what is claimed to be the original Hebrew text, before all the mistranslations were incorporated. The meaning seems to be clearer, certainly more so than in modern English translations.
