Thanks very much for your detailed response.

I agree with your general thrust here. I'm not in the slightest bit bothered about who is right, and who is wrong, if indeed either of us is. As I keep saying, we're both looking at the same stuff from different perspectives.

Totally agree with you about music. I don't know if Beethoven, Mozart, or Bach ever meditated, but I am pretty sure that they were all fulfilling their destinies as souls on Earth.

You say that Sender Spike and I “are both aware that there is no such thing as scientific certainty and the best we can do is arrive at models that more and more closely approximate truth”. He does, however, give the impression that he believes that he has transcended the limitations of science and achieved objective truth through meditation. Maybe he has, but how can we tell? Some of his statements to me suggest otherwise.

“Why not simply relax into the truth that neither one of you can know for sure the absolute truth of your beliefs, and perhaps enjoy a more playful, open-hearted, dialogue together?” On the first half, that is exactly what I would like, and is indeed my position in the mutual debate – I never claim that what I am saying is truth. On the second half, that would be up to him, but at the moment it doesn't seem very likely. Anyway, at some point he will probably get fed up with trying to change me and, as he says, close the conversation.
