Thanks for your thoughtful response. I agree that my claims were unsupported, but that was the whole point of my argument. A sense of meaning comes from profound personal subjective experiences, which cannot be communicated or proved to others.

You now seem to be using 'centre' in a different sense from your previous response. You said that Jung “is considered in some psychology and related circles as a bit off-centre”. I took this to mean that the mainstream, consensus opinion is considered the best, hence my response. You now appear to be talking about a centre as a ground of being for the universe.

I agree with your thoughts on Freud.
