I don't agree with your assessment. I am not attacking science. I am very much in favour of high-quality science, i.e. when it does the job it is supposed to do. That is why I frequently criticise poor-quality science. One example of this is when people pass off their philosophical beliefs as established science, which is what Harari is doing in this quote.

This certainly isn't a right wing attack, since I'm not right wing; If a label is appropriate, I would describe myself as a centrist. I would criticise anything that I think should be criticised, whatever its source.

I agree with what Kant said about enlightenment in general, but the problem is that the movement now known as the Enlightenment has led us into an era of spiritual darkness, one example of which is again the Harari quote. We do not need to adopt his version of Liberalism in order to free ourselves from the historical false rules, lies and suppression of churches.

Liberalism, in modern times, especially in a political sense, is much more than the definition you offer here.
