You can look upon it as having struck a raw nerve, if by that you mean that I have not yet discovered my true self/essence, and I am irritated when someone like you keeps reminding me. However, I freely admit that I do not know my true self. I'm content with that, and will keep working in ways that seem appropriate to me.

However, we only have your word for it that you know completely who you are. Given that you are so self-aware, you presumably understand how you come across to others and, if not, my jab was a gentle hint. I understand in advance that you have a different definition of 'humble', but in my opinion your attitude doesn't do you any favours, if your purpose in writing is to seek to persuade Medium readers of your wisdom.
