Thanks for responding. I can't go into this in any great depth. What you say yourself seems to sum it up neatly: “something bigger, more infinite, eternal and with more creative capabilities” than just love. According to mystics this something more infinite is beyond all description and attribution. To say that God is Love is an attribution or description; Love would therefore appear to one one aspect or manifestation of the Divine.

In one sentence, the 'more to life than giving love' would be working for the Divine purpose, thus working for God. This might of course involve loving action or service. It could also be trying to raise the consciousness of humanity.
