Regarding what you say about Sentell, it all depends what your starting worldview is. I was just trying to justify the idea that some parts of the Bible might be more inspired than others, nothing more. You've mentioned and written about shamanism. Shamans went on inner journeys where they received guidance, had visions. Paul and Mohammed both claimed that. We also have the experience of someone like Parmenides who was taught much by a goddess he met during his journey to the Underworld. A modern example would be Carl Jung and his Red Book. The Hebrew prophets might have had similar experiences.

Of course, if you don't believe that such things are possible in principle, then you will arrive at the conclusions that you have expressed here.
