Perhaps Jung's insights should have changed the world. There is still time.

I would rephrase your statement and say that Christianity, as formulated by the early Catholic Church, has had a deep impact on the western world. We can examine why that should be.

Why do you often say 'Christ' rather than Jesus? The word is the Greek equivalent of messiah, not a surname, so you are saying in effect “the impact of Messiah on the world”, which doesn't mean very much.

You say “Jesus said” in relation to the Luke quote. I understand that you cannot help but think that. To me, however, this is firm evidence, as I have suggested to you before, that the gospels were written under the influence of Paul, and that his ideas might be ascribed to Jesus.

Your definition of the Church is of course a conventional Christian one, based on the assumption that the New Testament is authoritative and infallible. So it excludes the possibility of alternative explanations. I cannot share that assumption.
