That would be a psychological interpretation of the story. I believe there is a deeper, spiritual interpretation. I've written much about this on Medium, which I expect you have read. So I don't agree that that is what Genesis is talking about. I think rather that it is saying that “the problem started when souls not intended to participate chose to descend into the material world”. Clearly you disagree, and obviously I don't know whether what I believe Genesis is saying is true. From memory, I think Joseph Campbell was fond of saying that in the East (was it the Taoists?) they know nothing about the Garden of Eden and the Fall.

I broadly agree with your interpretation which follows (including Kastrup and Sender Spike).

“Honestly, I do not follow anyone or anything”.

That is what I was expecting you to say. We are both on a personal search, where our intuitions take us. Thanks for the details of you path, some of which I was familiar with.
