Indeed. I didn't claim that it was new, or at least didn't mean to.

Of those you mention, Origen was later condemned (although not for that reason), and Boehme was considered controversial, if not heretical. Christian Hermeticism, Kabbalah, and Alchemy are not very popular with conventional Christianity, although I'm very interested in them. My whole point was that the original teaching had been misunderstood (or perhaps had been deliberately changed).
