I'm guessing that all the masters you refer to come from Eastern traditions. I believe that Jung perceived himself as standing at the end of the Western tradition, which is somewhat different. He thought that his individuation process was the appropriate spiritual path for Westerners. Also, although he was knowledgeable about the East, he seemed to distance himself from it.
It's also not clear that his goal was to become enlightened, rather to become psychologically whole. Perhaps those are the same thing?
