I wasn't discussing whether the Universe was created or not, or whether there is a Supreme Being or not; these were irrelevant issues. We can know from our own experiences that meaning and purpose exists. These will of course remain personal and perhaps unlikely to convince others; sceptics will dismiss them with various pejorative terms. If there is purpose in my life, and I am part of the universe, then it follows that there is purpose in the universe.
