I think the flood is one of the Old Testament stories

most likely to be historically true, although not necessarily the accompanying theological narrative. It may have been exaggerated, however, and not covered the whole of the dry land on Earth.

Those who disagree have to explain at least two things. Firstly the flood story is found in many unconnected indigenous cultures around the world. Why would they all say this if there weren't some historical basis? Secondly, how do you explain the various underwater buildings, even apparent cities, that have been discovered?
