I agree that those were the names circulating. The Church tried to claim that these referred to the apostles (apart from Luke), but the commonly accepted scholarly consensus is that those names were pseudonyms used by unknown people in order possibly to associate the writers with those apostles. I suggest that the burden of proof lies on Christians to provide evidence if they disagree.
