However, all parties come up with strategies to win votes and elections (which can loosely be called lies). It’s up to the voters to see through them. Labour were hardly innocent on that count in their campaign.

I certainly don’t think that immigration was the single issue that won it for the Tories, if that is what you’re suggesting. Obviously there was a campaign of vilification of Corbyn in the right-wing press. Perhaps some of that was justified, however.
