Interesting though that quote is, and I can see where he’s coming from, I would say that the best science and the best religion are finding the same truth. Even if that appears not to be the case at the moment, a time will come when both are forced to move in that direction, because they will both find that they are confronted by obstacles which will prevent them from making any further progress without taking note of the other. This is already happening to a certain extent; there are already several spiritually inclined new paradigm scientists. And in the old days, spiritual texts were filled with what we might now call science.

One of my ongoing themes is the Reunification of Science and Religion. I have been invited to give a talk on that theme in June, and I will be publishing more material then. Hopefully you’ll read that at the time.
