Thanks for the prompt response.

Yes I did make a big mistake over one point, for which I've apologised, and you dealt with it appropriately. However, as I pointed out, you still made a big deal out of the Egyptian issue, and brought up at the start the Roman issue, both of which I said I was willing to put to one side. You also ignored the question of Jesus's possible militancy which I asked you to address. You also didn't respond to my invitation to say what you were expecting when you invited me, therefore what the meaning of the search for the historical Jesus is in your view. So I think it's fair to say that on the whole you haven't addressed the requests in my previous article, apart from the one mentioned above.

The first debate did indeed work a lot better, probably because the topic, although important, was not quite so close to our hearts, therefore less likely to become inflamed.

I hope you do want to approach the subject afresh at some point, in whatever format you prefer.
