Hi Joshua. Fascinating stuff.

The eternal problem of anecdotal evidence in science. It can’t be proved absolutely, yet we have had personal, subjective experiences which confirm it.

“I want nothing less than a scientifically sound understanding… nothing less than an extensive psychological description of telepathy, not just a brief parapsychological definition”. This may be impossible; telepathy may be very slippery, like mercury, and elude attempts to pin it down. This is probably because scientifically it would have to be understood in terms of the brain. And if the brain is not the cause, then….

Interesting understanding of ishin-denshin. I know you’re interested in martial arts (aikido), so assume you may be familiar with the term from there. At our dojo it refers to the idea that a technique cannot be taught by verbal explanation, only by direct transmission from the teacher, therefore by intuitive understanding following a direct experience, what you call “unspoken mutual understanding”. That is not considered to be telepathy in the sense you mean.

You ask for anecdotes. I’ve done a couple of articles previously. My own experiences are in the second one:

best wishes, and keep up the good work.
