No worries there. I'm also interested to see where this will take me. I'm trying not to have a preconceived opinion. It's difficult to pin Jung down, since his views change and, as the philosopher Bernardo Kastrup says, he circumambulates around topics, approaching them from different angles, rather than addressing them directly. We are also dealing with an extremely complicated topic.

There is also this issue that we all have to address. How is the metaphysical level related to the material universe? Are they distinct and separate? Do they overlap? Are they integrated? What is the relationship between the evolution of the collective unconscious in human terms and any metaphysical layers? How we answer those questions may explain why differing interpretations of Jung have emerged.
