The Oneness is indeed at a different level of consciousness, but the average ego burdened citizen is still a part of it. So my hope is that these people might become more aware of the Oneness, and try to think more often from that level.

The Oneness indeed includes Darkness. I was suggesting in the article that people should analyse themselves. They might then discover their own darkness, and stop projecting it onto others. (I believe this is currently true of a lot of people on the Left.)

I’m impressed by your metaphysical credentials. Jung is one of my heroes. I haven’t read much by him, but I believe Sri Aurobindo to be one of the most important Eastern thinkers; he is a big influence on Peter Russell, author of The Awakening Earth, who is one of my influences. I have a friend who is heavily into Gurdjieff, and was active in the Work some time ago. There is a lot of interesting material in that tradition (most obviously Ouspensky), but I don’t go along with all of it. You can obviously judge for yourself.

I wasn’t advocating political moderation and restraint merely for people like you and me. I would also like the assholes and those whose goal is obstruction and destruction to psychoanalyse themselves, understand themselves better, and seek to control themselves.
