Hi again. Thanks for your further response.

Regarding Jesus not dying in John, the links to my articles are there, if you wish to pursue them.

John is indeed problematic, when considered alongside the Synoptics. Interestingly though, if one removes the “spiritualized content”, much interesting material remains.

Regarding secret meanings, Jesus does refer to his teachings several times in this way.

You have interesting thoughts on Herod's feast.

I definitely think we need to move beyond current orthodoxy.

I believe you're right about the message of being christed. That is surely the true message; Jesus shows us the way. There is the idea of Imitatio Christi. This is sometimes said to be imitating the example of Jesus, but it could more deeply be seen as imitating the life of Jesus (allegorically speaking).

Reincarnation is very likely, and there is significant evidence for it. I've written several articles about it, but check out the work of Dr. Ian Stevenson. Also it was widely believed in the early Church, most notably Origen. It was the Roman emperor Justinian who declared it 'anathema', against the wishes of the Pope. I wrote about that here:

Keep seeking out new ideas.
