It's never a bad thing to move on from exoteric Christianity.

However, there's a lot more to religion, by which I mean spiritual beliefs in general, than morality. And if religion as a whole, not just Christianity, didn't have the answers you needed, I wonder which questions you were asking. The direction you are moving in sounds like you are still spiritual.
