Evidence of antiquity would obviously help the argument. However, ultimately it doesn't matter. If anyone is going to argue that the Bible, both OT and NT, denies reincarnation, then it is useful to point out that various Jewish traditions accept it.

If there are Jews who deny it, they would belong to exoteric rather esoteric traditions, as in Christianity. It is hard to believe that such Jews would completely reject their own scriptures.
