Thanks for your response. I’ll take a look at your article.

In the meantime, I’m wondering whether we might be different types of Christian. You speak of “ a living God who is capable of communicating today”, and “ the maker of trees and mountains and galaxies” and (his?) inability to speak. I don’t really believe in that sort of God, and have been arguing against it in two recent articles:

There is still a lot more to say on the nature of creation, which I haven’t covered yet (and may never do on Medium).

Regarding the Bible, I have also been writing about the work of Bishop John Shelby Spong, who is often highly critical of the gospels and more. He would seem to be in agreement with what I say in those two articles.
