Thanks very much for your detailed response. It's not always clear what your overall point is, presumably not a commentary on my new mythology, rather an elucidation of your own ideas.

In response to your opening comments, my idea of a common mythology is not of a “one true path” in the sense of a spiritual path, rather a set of ideas which in modern times people can hopefully identify with, given advances in science, psychology, spirituality, and so on. It is not intended to be "set in stone”, and may well need further future revisions. It's just my vision of the best we can come up with at this moment in time.
